Energy systems, solar, storage, and offshore wind

Independent advice on cost, system design, and policy across global power markets.

I work across offshore wind, solar and battery storage, and system-level optimisation.

The rapid reduction in solar PV and battery storage costs in recent years is driving fundamental, system-wide change. Rapid Solar PV and BESS deployment, both utility-scale and behind-the-meter distributed generation, and the system optimisation challenges they create, are the key areas of my current focus.

My background combines infrastructure delivery, market advisory, and technical analysis. The focus is not only on how individual technologies perform, but on how low-cost energy systems of the future will function as a whole.

Solar + BESS

Cost, deployment, storage, and the changing economics of electricity systems.

System optimisation

How generation, storage, constraints, and demand interact at system scale.

Offshore wind

Policy, leasing, development, and integration into modern power systems.

Selected experience

Over 20 years of experience across renewable energy development, policy, and investment, including advisory work for governments and international institutions, large-scale UK project delivery, and the creation of sector-wide programmes to de-risk deployment.
